What IS Counselling?

counselling/ˈkaʊns(ə)lɪŋ/noun

  1. “The provision of professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal or psychological problems”.

The ‘Talking Cure’ has been well known for centuries as an effective support tool when you are feeling depressed, anxious, stressed or just wishing to make changes in your life.

Counselling is the process of assisting and guiding individuals by a trained person on a professional basis, to resolve especially personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties in a safe, secure and confidential environment.

What Is Supervision?

Working under supervision means that a counsellor or other trained professional utilises the services of an experienced counsellor / supervisor to review work with clients, professional development, and often their personal development as well.

Supervision is provided on an individual basis to seasoned practitioners, trainee therapists, complimentary therapists, managers and case workers.

Supervision can also be provided to groups.

Supervision takes place at a date and time that suits you; day appointments only.

Training:

I am a professional trainer, commited to a high standard of practice delivering training to counsellors, students and professionals who are interested in developing skills and knowledge bases.
